Sodi-Tech has just enjoyed its most successful year yet, and we are proud of what we have achieved. As well as continually innovating, we have always gone to great lengths to build the best team in the business. Industries have radically changed over the past two decades, and unfortunately there are no longer “jobs for life”. We believe differently and have the view of employing staff on a long term basis, and for us it pays off. Our figures speak for themselves, and that’s down to great team effort throughout our whole business.
Employing people long term does not mean we stand still; far from it. We continually strive to get the best out of our teams. We invest in training and development, apprenticeships, and we value our staff. If you talk to any Sodi-Tech employee you will find they are passionate about their work, and the products and services they sell.
On the back of our most successful year, we are pleased to announce further developments within our team. Tony Berry has been promoted to the position of Sales Manager, whilst Guy DeFeo becomes Service Manager. Peter Bend who is a long standing member of the company has also been promoted to the position of Senior Service Engineer.
Tony has been a part of the Sodi-Tech family since 2007 and has quickly made a name for himself with many of our customers for his customer service. Tony now looks after our sales team and helps customers to identify the right new or used machine to suit their EDM needs.
Tony said: “This promotion has been a real boost for me, and it’s great to have my work recognised by Sodi-Tech. The Company has really moved forward in the last few years and established its position as a market leader in EDM technology. I look forward to helping the Company reach many more major milestones over the next few years.”
Guy is the first person at the end of a phone whenever a customer calls in to report a problem with their machine. He aims to resolve technical issues remotely before sending out a service engineer. After growing with the company over the last eighteen years, first as a service engineer and later as senior service engineer, Guy has extensive technical knowledge of Sodick machines and can help resolve technical problems.
Guy added: “Working for Sodi-Tech is like being part of a large family and this is reflected in the way we treat our customers. Everybody here talks to each other so we can always find a solution between us for any technical problems our customers experience. This enables us to continue to provide great customer service and expertise and I will be continuing this trend in my new role.”
At the end of last year Chris Hellyer and Bill Thomas who have been with the company for 21 years were also promoted to Sales Director and Technical Director this demonstrates we as a Company continue to recognise the talents of our employees and ensure that customers have contact with the right people at all times.
